Curatit MCPBeta
Bring Curatit to your AI assistant
Search real brand posts, read their editor-approved breakdowns and build briefs from inside Claude, Cursor, VS Code or ChatGPT. Every answer comes with its source.
Add Curatit to Claude Code
One command in your terminal. Your shell fills the token in, and Claude Code keeps it in its own config (~/.claude.json), so treat that file like the token.
Step 1: Create a token
Sign in and make one in API tokens. It's shown once; put it in your environment as
Get a tokenCURATIT_ACCESS_TOKEN.Step 2: Add the server
Run this in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http curatit https://curatit.vercel.app/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer $CURATIT_ACCESS_TOKEN"Step 3: Ask for references
Try: Find three finance carousels that launch a feature, with their sources. Every answer comes back with real Instagram links.
Add Curatit to Cursor
One entry in your project's MCP settings. Cursor fills the token in from your environment.
Step 1: Create a token
Sign in and make one in API tokens. It's shown once; put it in your environment as
Get a tokenCURATIT_ACCESS_TOKEN.Step 2: Add the server
Add this to
.cursor/mcp.jsonin your project:{ "mcpServers": { "curatit": { "url": "https://curatit.vercel.app/mcp", "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:CURATIT_ACCESS_TOKEN}" } } } }Step 3: Ask for references
Try: Find three finance carousels that launch a feature, with their sources. Every answer comes back with real Instagram links.
Add Curatit to VS Code
One file in your workspace, for GitHub Copilot's agent mode. VS Code asks for the token once and keeps it for you.
Step 1: Create a token
Sign in and make one in API tokens. It's shown once; VS Code asks for it the first time it connects.
Get a tokenStep 2: Add the server
Add this to
.vscode/mcp.json:{ "inputs": [ { "id": "curatit-token", "type": "promptString", "description": "Curatit personal access token", "password": true } ], "servers": { "curatit": { "type": "http", "url": "https://curatit.vercel.app/mcp", "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${input:curatit-token}" } } } }Step 3: Ask for references
Try: Find three finance carousels that launch a feature, with their sources. Every answer comes back with real Instagram links.
Add Curatit to ChatGPT
In testingChatGPT signs in with your Curatit account instead of a token. This path is still being tested: if it fails, use one of the other clients for now.
Step 1: Turn on developer mode
In ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors → Advanced and switch on Developer mode.
Step 2: Create the connector
Choose Create, name it Curatit, paste the server address and pick OAuth for authentication.
https://curatit.vercel.app/mcpStep 3: Sign in and allow
ChatGPT opens Curatit's sign-in. Allow it, and the six tools appear in your chats.
Call Curatit over HTTP
No MCP in your tool, or writing your own script? The same six tools answer as a REST API under /api/v1, with the same token.
Step 1: Create a token
Sign in and make one in API tokens. It's shown once; put it in your environment as
Get a tokenCURATIT_ACCESS_TOKEN.Step 2: Call a tool
A search, for example:
curl -X POST https://curatit.vercel.app/api/v1/posts/search \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $CURATIT_ACCESS_TOKEN" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"query": "launch", "filters": {"industries": ["fintech"], "formats": ["carousel"]}}'Step 3: Read the spec
Every route and field is described in openapi.json.
Another MCP client? Point it at https://curatit.vercel.app/mcp (Streamable HTTP) with your token in an Authorization: Bearer header. The connect guide covers Claude Desktop too.
Finding references took hours. Now it's one question.
Ask in plain words and get real brand posts back, not descriptions of ones that don't exist.
Real references, not invented ones
Your assistant searches 237 real brand posts and their editor-approved breakdowns, and says why each one matched.
A source for every claim
Every answer links to the post on Instagram, so you can open it and check before it goes into a deck.
In the tool you already use
Ask in Claude, Cursor or VS Code, mid-task, and turn what comes back into a brief without switching tabs.
Six read-only tools
Your assistant picks the one it needs. None of them can change anything.
Learn the filters
The values every filter accepts: industries, brands, formats, goals, creative approaches and the visual dimensions.

curatit_get_post
Walk through a carousel
A carousel's slides in order, a page at a time, each with its analysis record.
curatit_get_carousel
See the slides
A slide's image, as a link or inline for tools that can look at pictures.
curatit_get_media
Draft a brief
An original creative brief grounded in one to eight posts: observed, inferred and recommended, kept apart.
curatit_create_brief
What your tool can do
- Read what you can read: the library's 237 published posts and their editor-approved analyses.
- Answer with real Instagram links, so every reference can be opened.
- Draft an original brief grounded in the posts you choose (with the Briefs scope), keeping what was observed apart from what's recommended.
What it can't do
- Post anything, or change your account.
- See your boards.
- Keep working once its token expires or is revoked. Tokens last 30 to 365 days.
Make and revoke tokens in API tokens.
Things may change while we test it, and the ChatGPT connector is still being tried out. Tell us what breaks.
